I have been in the pest control business since 1978. I worked for a well known pest control company in the San Francisco Bay Area for 13 years. I had worked routes in Marin County, Sonoma County and finally a route in the Napa Valley. In late 1991, the company was bought by one of the larger, corporate pest control companies. At that time, they started to immediately lower wages and remove benefits and at that time, I decided I could make that little money on my own. New West Pest Control was started in Calistoga, CA on June 2, 1992. I slowly built up a route in the Napa Valley and expanded into Sonoma and Marin Counties.

For 28 years I have experienced very slow growth but nevertheless we have grown and have been successful. My son has worked as a service technician with me for 17 years, we have another service technician that has been with us for 5 years servicing the whole Napa Valley, my daughter in law has been running the office for the last 3 years and I am still out there working and giving estimates. Ideally, I would like to keep growing as a company but keeping the same slow growth that has made it a success. I will add a route when needed. Moving forward, we strive to be a quality, local business that our clients can depend on.
